Bucco Restaurant Bloomfield

We had such a good time. The staff was friendly. The food was quick. BYOB! Had the buratta ravioli, and rigatoni in bolognese and pork chop Milanese. Also had the mussels and burrata appetizer. It was a fun night out with great people!

My husband and I were very impressed. We split the Asian pear salad. He had the porkchop, I had the fried Chicken. Both were moist and nicely seasoned. It is BYOB if you forget your wine there is a store right around the corner that delivers. The chef was right out front asking how we were enjoying our meal. Very friendly and attentive staff. We will definitely be going back!

How did I miss this place when it opened 6 years ago? It’s located on a small street off Bloomfield with other small independent restaurants and across from a parking garage. However it’s the kind of place you may find in Montclair or NYC so I appreciate their investing in Bloomfield. In any case, I was so glad we found this place, as I was really wanting pasta. There are SO many places in this part of NJ that it’s hard to choose; however, Bucco won me over due to their lunch menu and the reasonable prices. What amazed me was the portion size, which can’t be much different than a dinner. So generous and more than enough to take home for dinner. I had the spaghetti with pomodoro sauce, which was beautifully fresh and light. My partner had the pasta vodka and the pasta was al dente with a lovely creamy sauce. Both of us added side order of meatballs and wow, so tasty. I guess one could say a meatball is a meatball, but these were quite flavorful and not dry at all. Before the main dishes we had fried calamari, which was lightly crispy without it being rubbery...not easy to do! I had the Caesar salad as well, and the homemade dressing had just enough weight without being overly creamy. Warm bread was offered as well as beverages. This is a BYOB, which we didn’t realize so we’ll make sure to do that next time. Along with our takeaway, we added tiramisu which we will enjoy later. Add to the beautiful meal was the fantastic service from beginning to end (thank you!)

I had a client lunch planned and client mentioned wanting Italian. I did a quick google search in Essex County since I am an Essex county girl and when I selected this place I have not stopped coming since that first visit. What a truly amazing find with just the right ambience and cozy feel. Not only is the FOOD insanely good but Jenn and her staff treat you like FAMILY! We have now had family dinners, my daughter's baptism lunch and many more memorable moments at BUCCO. We honestly look for any reason to come back to BUCCO. Highly, highly recommend

Great service and great food! Mike is great! He’s very knowledgeable about the menu and will help you make the right selection. The restaurant is cozy but is able to accommodate larger parties just by moving the tables around. They also have live music. I’ll definitely be back!

We recently moved a family member to Bloomfield and made the excellent choice to eat at Bucco last Thursday evening. I must say everything from the food to the service to the atmosphere was great. Bucco has a great combination of 5 star food, first class service and a warm, welcoming environment. All 3 of our entree's were outstanding as was the Burrata appetizer. We will definitely be back.

We celebrated our manager birthday! We had a blast! Jennifer is the best! Food was amazing! Place was intimate! Beyond 5 stars!

I visited Bucco last night for the first time to celebrate an early Mother's Day with my family. The decor was warm and inviting. The service was impeccable. Mike, our server, was attentive but not overbearing. He made the dining experience very enjoyable. The menu is diverse and has lots of delicious options. They also have ample specials to choose from. Everything is made to order in case you need to customize anything. We will definitely return!
